Humanity bleeds through the protagonist's speech on photography and into the photos he takes. The commonality shared with who he perceives to be his nephew is what makes an ending like ONE HOUR PHOTO's worth it. Forget the characters for a moment and glance at the corporate sterility throughout the workplaces and backrooms that see real misery, real enough to transcend plot. They also see blood, the workplaces. That was a good scene.
